The Timeless Ledger — October 2026, a monthly studio letter from Timeless Scraps.

The Autumn Edition · Issue 3 · October 2026

☕ Welcome to the Studio

October always makes me want to settle in and make something.

The days are getting cooler, the leaves are changing, and spending an afternoon surrounded by paper with a coffee close by feels like a perfectly reasonable plan. The challenge, of course, is finding enough room on the worktable to put the coffee down. 😂

September brought a few firsts around here, including my first vendor market at Chilifest. It was lovely to take Timeless Scraps out of the studio, meet people in person, and share what I’ve been making. Now I’m getting ready to do it again at the Autumn Harvest Vendor Market on Sunday, October 4, at Moose Lodge #535 here in Sault Ste. Marie. If you’re local, I’d love for you to stop by and say hello!

There’s plenty happening online, too. Our regular crafting lives have a new name—At the Timeless Table—and I’m looking forward to another month of making things, sharing ideas, and enjoying some creative company.

I’ll also be joining my friend Melonie over at Creative Play with Mel for more crafting and conversation.

And I’m back in Rockin’ Robin’s Creative Corner with Fallin’ for Crafting with Kim, where we’ll try a different project each week. You’ll find all the dates and details further down on the Studio Notice Board.

This month, I’m especially pleased to introduce my friend Susie in Made by You. She has spent 35 years exploring different art forms, and her latest adventure is polymer clay jewellery. I’ll be showcasing her creations on October 19, and I can’t wait to share her work with you.

I’ve also tucked 21 printable pages into October’s companion pack: a mix of collage backgrounds and pages celebrating handmade cards, teachers, and the joy of sending something through the post. A few little reasons to make something and brighten someone’s day.

With Canadian Thanksgiving approaching, it feels like a good time to appreciate this little creative community we’re building. Whether you join the lives, share your projects, or quietly download the pages and create at your own table, I’m glad you’re here.

Grab your coffee and settle in.

Welcome to Issue No. 3 of The Timeless Ledger.

✂️ On My Worktable

The Wedding Ledger preview with vintage floral papers, bridal fashion cards, a wedding receipt and ephemera

This month, I’m putting The Wedding Ledger in the spotlight.

With World Card Making Day coming up on October 3, it felt like a lovely opportunity to revisit a collection inspired by such a meaningful occasion.

A handmade card becomes part of someone’s story. It might hold a few words of encouragement, mark a special day, or simply remind someone that you’re thinking of them. Wedding keepsakes carry that same feeling—little pieces of paper holding memories we want to keep.

Whether you’re planning a wedding project or looking at the collection with another idea in mind, I hope you’ll enjoy exploring it. Sometimes a kit’s name is only the starting point for what we can make with it.

That’s one of my favourite things about working with paper. We all see different possibilities in the same pages.

🎁 This Month’s Companion Pack

This month’s companion pack has 21 printable pages waiting for you!

For August and September, we explored neutral background papers. This time, I’ve changed things up with 15 collage backgrounds.

Five have a quiet autumn feel, with gentle seasonal touches. The other ten are unthemed, so you can reach for them throughout the year when you’re layering journal pages, making cards, or building something from your paper stash.

You’ll also find two pages for each of three October celebrations:

✂️ World Card Making Day — October 3

A little encouragement to make a card and send it. We can spend ages choosing papers and arranging tiny pieces—and sometimes those few handwritten words inside end up meaning the most.

📚 World Teachers’ Day — October 5

A chance to appreciate the people who help us learn, encourage our curiosity, and patiently explain something for the seventeenth time. A handmade thank-you is a lovely way to recognise that care.

✉️ World Post Day — October 9

Letters, postcards, stamps, and a little happy mail…this one practically invited itself into a junk journal newsletter. 😄 There’s still something special about finding a personal note among the bills.

I hope these pages give you a few ideas—and a good excuse to spend some time at your craft table.

❤️ Made by You — Meet Susie

This month, I’m delighted to introduce my friend Susie, a mixed media artist based in Montreal, Quebec, who has been exploring art for 35 years.

Susie studied graphic design and retired from a career in stock management. She also loves mathematics—which may explain why she has considerably more patience for numbers than I do. 😄

Her creative studies include haute couture and silk screen printing, and her curiosity has taken her through all sorts of art forms: rice paper lamps, enamel art, embossed leather, crochet, scrapbooking, and junk journaling.

In 2026, she began making polymer clay jewellery, adding another medium to that wonderfully varied creative history.

The pieces pictured here show some of what she’s been making: pink and sage marbled earrings, colourful butterflies, and playful red “HO” earrings for the holiday season.

I love seeing where someone’s creativity takes them over the years. One material leads to another, skills travel between projects, and there’s always something new to try.

On October 19, I’ll be showcasing Susie’s creations At the Timeless Table. I hope you’ll join us!

You can visit Susie on Facebook here:

Would you like to be featured in a future issue?

Made by You is a place to celebrate artists and makers working in all sorts of materials. Your work doesn’t need to use Timeless Scraps printables.

Share what you’re making in the Timeless Scraps Studio Facebook group and tell us a little about it. I’d love to see where your creativity is taking you.

👀 Looking Ahead

October is shaping up to be a month of making, sharing, and finding a little time to enjoy the process.

There are more ideas waiting in my notebook, more paper on the worktable, and probably a pair of scissors hiding underneath both.

As Canadian Thanksgiving approaches, I also want to say thank you.

Thank you for showing up, downloading the pages, visiting the shop, joining the lives, and sharing what you create. Those conversations and little moments of connection mean a great deal to me.

I hope this month brings you a project you’re excited about, a bit of creative company, and a few quiet moments at your own table.

See you At the Timeless Table!

Kim ❤️
